Whenever I get asked the question “what are your closet essentials?” a camel coat is always on my personal must-have-list. Whether you’re fair, dark, in between, there’s a shade and a shape that can suit any skin and body type. The photos I’ve shared are coats that are (unfortunately) a few years old, but it just goes to show how they stand the test of time. While the ones I am wearing are no longer available, I’ve compiled similar options and my favorites in various price points.
This Theory coat is years old, but it still gets as much love as it did in the first year that I got it. It’s shorter, slightly oversized, a bit boyish and looks great with both sneakers and a slightly dressier outfit. The most similar versions that I’ve found are here, here, & here.
One of my favorite camel coats is from Mackage. I love the length, the quality is superb and I’m a sucker for a bigger collar. This one is from a few years ago, but they came out with a new, similar version. It’s certainly an investment piece, but I’m going on my third season wearing mine and I know it will get many more years to come. I take a small in the brand. Another version that I’ve seen in person and I absolutely love is this one. The quality is superb and it looks very luxe on.
In addition, I’m including a few more favorites below:
I know this post is about camel coats, but wanted to take a moment to address the ‘So Kate’ Louboutin boots I am wearing in the above photos because I get a ton of questions about them. They’re a couple of years old and still remain one of my favorite pairs. Again, cost per wear, they’ve paid for themselves over and over again. They don’t make this exact pair, but this year they came out with this super chic pair, which has an even lower heel so I imagine they’ll be incredibly comfortable. This Louboutin pair is another similar version and the heel is also a drop lower than the ones I’m wearing.
For a more budget friendly alternative, this pair looks very similar.
